I am all excited about the upcoming Santa Live Now event on November 11th! I thought I would go ahead and get set up early. Not having used Stickam myself before, I thought it might be helpful if I document my steps for others who are not familar with podcasting. I'll continue to add things as I learn more. If anyone has any additions, feel free to add them.
It is really quick and easy to get set up on Stickam.
After I signed up and confirmed my email, I signed in and was taken to my profile page. From this page, you can add your profile pic and add any other profile info you want. You can then go Santa Live Nows page, and on the right, under Santas picture, click on Add As Friend. As soon as Santa accepts you as his friend, you can easily access his page from your profile page.
Below are some basic FAQ's from the Stickam site.
Q 1. What is Stickam?
A Stickam is a free service that allows you to stream live video over the internet. There is nothing to download and Stickam is 100% free.
Q 2. What are the system requirements to use Stickam?
A An internet connection and a browser with the most recent version of Macromedia Flash Player installed. DSL or T1 broadband is not required, but it is strongly recommended.
Q 3. How do I create an account?
A Click “Sign Up” at the top of the page. Please provide us with your desired username, a valid email address, and your date of birth. You must be at least 14 years of age or older to sign up for Stickam. We will send a confirmation message to your email. Please click on the activation link in this email to activate your account.
Q 4. I want my friends to check me out when I'm live. Would I be able to add my Stickam player to my personal website and/or blog?
A You can add your player to any of your personal sites by grabbing your player's embed code from the "My Stickam Profile Player" section on your My Page.
Q 5. What are the dimensions of the Stickam player?
A The Stickam player is currently available in several different sizes ranging from: 160x160, to 820x490. You can check here to find the right player for your needs.
Q 6. If I have a Stickam player on my web site, will I be using my own bandwidth?
A No, that is the beauty of Stickam... now you can broadcast your live feed without worrying about using up your own bandwidth resources.

Great Show even if I could not get the camera to work right.
At least I finally got through on the phone. I hope all my friends are having a perfectly delightful Saturday. For those of you in
the sunnier states enjoy---you will be delighted to know we had snow (actually an awful lot of rain and snow mixed here all day. So it was beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
