- What does the spirit of Christmas mean to you?
- Christmas has so many meanings to me I wanted to think what I wanted to put here. First of all I have a standing invitation to join in the celebration of the birth of Christ. My presence is always welcome and I don't have to worry about attire ... my appearance inside is all that he is concerned with.. And in return for being pleasing to him he surrounds me with love and I feel so happy with life and people and the way they seem to reach out to one another.... it is looking through the eyes of a child once more with all the same thrill and happiness of knowing you are celebrating the most special person in your life.

I am so very sorry to hear you were in the hospital. What happened? I pray God you are doing much better. I realized yesterday that it must have been you who called. I apologize for not realizing it before then. I guess I have been having (for the lack of a better description) numerous blond moments of late. The truth is on Christmas Eve I had my heart ripped out by the man I had made the center of my world for the last 15 yearsand needless to say it has left me less than up to par. In any event, I am working my way through it and I have come to the realization somethings (or in this case -smarm like my 62 year friend, Kenny) simply are not worth
putting mysellf in such a state of depression. Life goes on. As you may recall when you and I met I told you he had recently broke up with me. At that time he led me to believe I had done something wrong by telling him I have Polysistic Kidney disease. Which by the way I am doing much better now and have learned to keep the blood pressure associated with it down. Well come to find out he actually left me for 22 year old girl. Yep, that is right. And it took me until yesterday to come to terms with it.
In any event, I have now reach the stage in my life that the truth is I am almost 58 years old and it really does not matter how old I am or how young she is. The truth is if our Dear Lord intends for me to have a significant other on this earth it will come to pass, maybe not at my speed but at his. Anyway enough about me.
How are you? I will be so happy when spring comes and I can actually feel safe in traveling your way. Maybe we can get together and talk. Please remember however, my friend, just because you may not hear from me everyday. You are in my thoughts and you are in my prayers.

have to go back to the drawing board and figure this one out.
How are you doing? I have been so rushed lately I have not had much time to breath let alone check in on the ones I care about. I am sorry I haven't meant to be such a bad friend.
Any way I hope with all my heart all is going well for you. Did you finally get all settled in? Did you make it back for that appointment we spoke about?
