Well children, it’s story time again and I’m going to tell you a story about the Easter Bunny.
Every year just after Easter, the Easter Bunny visits Santa’s village for a vacation, so that she can have a rest after all of the hard work she has been doing, delivering Easter Eggs to all the children throughout the world.
Well, last year when the pigeon post arrived one morning just after Christmas. Patrick the Pigeon Postman flew in and chirped. “A message for Santa from the Easter Bunny. Will you accept?”
“Of course I will,” I said, and took the letter from Patrick. I read the letter and it said:
Dear Santa, I will be arriving on the Polar Express at Santa’s village at 10:30am on the 14th February, Will you please meet me at the Station? I need your help!
My goodness I thought, she is arriving on St Valentines Day? Why is she not celebrating with Mr Bun? This must be serious! What could the problem be, why is she arriving so early?
I called a meeting and told everyone that the Easter Bunny was arriving at the station and we should all be there to greet her. “Let’s have a holiday that day and we will arrange a brass band to meet her.” I suggested.
The day arrived and we heard WHOOO, WHOOO, WHOOO, the sound of the Polar Express approaching and we could see the steam from the engines in the distance.
Within minutes the train arrived at the platform and the brass band started to play. The train stopped and the Easter Bunny hopped off with Mr Bun. He was carrying all her luggage and you could hardly see him under all the suitcases.
“Hello Easter Bunny. Hello Mr Bun. Is that you? I greeted the pair. “It is nice to see you both again; you look worried! What is your problem? Why have you arrived so early? Can I help?”
“Well Santa” she explained “All the children are wanting Yodule’s ice cream this year and I’m worried they will not want their chocolate eggs this Easter. What can I do?
“Don’t be silly!” I said, “Let’s go over to the Ice Castle and talk to Yodule, he always likes to help.”
Just then I said without thinking, “Why not have an ice cream Easter egg that tastes like cookies.”
“That is a fantastic idea Santa, but how do we deliver them, without them melting?” said the Easter Bunny.
She was right it would never work! It was certainly a good idea but only if we could stop them melting when we are delivering them.
As we approached the Ice Castle I looked through the ice window and who was sitting there but the answer to our problem! It was “Jack Frost”. He could deliver the eggs with his ice-cold hands and the ice cream eggs would not melt.
We all went into the Ice Castle and worked out a plan to deliver the Yodule Ice Cream Easter Eggs at Easter. We worked everything out. We would make the eggs together at the Ice Castle with Yodules help and Jack Frost would go with the Easter Bunny this year and deliver the eggs for her at each house.
Easter Bunny and Mr Bun were now so happy and Jack Frost was ever so pleased that he could show everyone that he was not actually the bad guy; everyone for once would be pleased to see “Jack Frost”.
So children, at Easter when you are searching for your chocolate eggs on your Easter Bunny egg hunt you will have to visit your North Pole fridge to find your Easter Ice Cream Egg made especially for you by Yodule the Ice Cream Elf.
